Intended audience
The app is a general planning resource for older students, adult learners, parents, guardians, educators, mentors, and career explorers. A responsible adult should guide a minor’s use. The app is not designed for unsupervised collection of information from children.
Purpose and functions
Course & Craft Ledger provides 48 educational planning courses, preset pathway comparisons, statement-preparation prompts, craft-readiness concepts, scam-awareness cards, sources, and privacy controls. It does not award aid, accept applications, enroll learners, certify skills, place workers, or guarantee an outcome.
Data collected or transmitted
The app does not collect or transmit personal data. It has no server, account, sign-in, form submission, messaging, upload, advertising, analytics, telemetry, or network feature. The publisher does not receive the choices made inside the app.
On-device choices and progress
Completed-course markers, up to three comparison selections, statement-block selections, safety acknowledgements, and the reduce-motion preference are stored only in Android SharedPreferences on the current device. These preset choices are not intended to identify a person.
Sensitive records and free text
The app has no free-text field and must not be used to store names, contact details, student identifiers, Social Security numbers, FSA IDs, passwords, financial records, tax information, health details, immigration information, applications, transcripts, recommendation letters, or identity documents.
Permissions
The final app requests no runtime permission and does not declare Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, storage, notification, or advertising permissions. Android may expose platform controls that are not app data collection.
Accounts and account deletion
No account is created, so there is no account-deletion procedure. Local app state can be erased with Reset local ledger inside the app, by clearing app storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Ads, analytics, tracking, and SDKs
The app contains no ads, analytics, attribution, social, crash-reporting, tracking, remote configuration, payment, or third-party network SDK. It uses only Android and AndroidX user-interface libraries packaged with the app.
Sharing, sale, and third parties
Because the app does not transmit app-use data, the publisher does not share or sell it. No data is made available to data brokers, advertisers, schools, scholarship providers, employers, training providers, or other third parties through the app.
External links and network behavior
Sources are shown as offline reference labels and plain domain text. The app does not open a browser, email client, map, payment page, or external form and makes no network connection. Users independently choose whether to visit a source outside the app.
Retention
Preset selections remain on the device until the user resets them, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. The publisher has no server copy and therefore cannot retrieve or retain those selections.
Deletion, backup, and device transfer
Reset local ledger removes the app’s stored selections. Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for the app’s SharedPreferences, files, and databases. Device manufacturers or independently configured device-management tools may operate outside the publisher’s control.
Security and limits
The privacy-minimizing design avoids accounts, networking, free text, and sensitive-document storage. Device access controls remain the user’s responsibility. No app or device can provide absolute security, so sensitive records should be kept in an appropriate trusted system.
Children, families, and safeguarding
The app does not create youth profiles, enable adult-minor messaging, publish work, track location, manage attendance, or collect school records. A parent, guardian, or authorized educator should choose age-appropriate activities and keep external applications and conversations within their safeguarding procedures.
Education, financial, career, and safety limits
Content is general education, not financial, legal, admissions, accreditation, employment, engineering, construction, or workplace-safety advice. Users must verify current requirements with the responsible provider or authority and obtain qualified instruction before any hands-on activity.
Policy changes and user choices
A later version may update this policy if app behavior changes. The effective date and version will change with a material revision. Users may stop using the app, reset local state, clear storage, or uninstall it at any time.
